Neu: der Ubuntu-Community Council wurde gewählt: wichtige Aufgaben und Herausforderungen

Ubuntu hat vor wenigen Tagen einen neuen Community Council gewählt. Das siebenköpfige Team hat in dem wachsenden Netzwerk der vielen Ubuntu-Projekte einige wichtige Aufgaben. Es sorgt unter anderem dafür, dass die Ubuntu-Richtlinien (Code of Conduct) von den Mitgliedern der Ubuntu-Gemeinde eingehalten werden, ernennt Teamleiter.....

Und der Council - er hat darüber hinaus auch das letzte Wort bei der Gründung neuer Projekte innerhalb der Linux-Distribution.
Das ist ziemlich bedeutend: denn Ubuntu - das ist ja mittlerweile schon zwei Dekaden alt und ist permanent am Wachsen; es kommen neue sehr viele neue Teilprojekte und Vorhaben dazu. Gleichzeitig kommen aber auch immer mehr Ressourcen und Plattformen zum Austausch. Dieser Umstand - das permanente Wachstum und die immer neuen Gebiete in die Ubuntu hineinkommt bringen auch neue Aufgaben und Herausforderungen mit sich.


Der neue Beirat ist ab sofort im Amt.

They are all elected for a period of two years.

I want to thank everyone who nominated themselves. While Khairul Aizat Kamarudzzaman and Jason C. Nucciarone sadly did not get a seat, they are still very valued community members with an impressive track record! We hope we can continue to work with them and any other community members to keep building this great project!
I also want to thank the outgoing Community Council members Monica Ayhens-Madon, Chris Guiver, and Torsten Franz. It was a pleasure working with you!
