Erst kürzlich wurde die neue Technologie EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles) von Corsair und NVIDIA angekündigt. Die dafür notwendigen Speicher wurden allerdings erst heute von Corsair offiziell vorgestellt. TWIN2X2048-8500C5 und TWIN2X2048-6400C4, so lauten die Modellbezeichnungen der Speicher, die vorallem Gamer und Enthusiasten ansprechen sollen. Die Speicher wurden auch mit "SLI Ready" zertifiziert. Das TWIN2X2048-6400C4-Kit soll, laut Corsair, über sorgfältig gewählte Chips verfügen, die ein besseres Overclocking-Potenzial mit mehr als 800MHz Taktfrequenz erlauben.  Beide Kits werden mit schwarzen XMS Heat Spreadern ausgeliefert und bekommen die von Corsair gewohnte lebenslange Garantie. 

Richard Hashim, Director of Product Management at Corsair Memory sagte: “During the collaborative phase of EPP development, we worked very closely with NVIDIA to optimize these 2 new parts on motherboards based on their upcoming chipset. The end result is that our new XMS DDR2 modules not only boot at extreme speeds and low latency, they also have guaranteed compatibility at the advanced memory timings. The performance difference of DDR2-1066 and low latency of CL4 is significant. Corsair is dedicated to continue develop and launch cutting edge DDR2 technology."
