Zudem sagte er, dass er davon überzeugt ist, dass Open-World Spiele die Spiele der Zukunft sind und der Trend von linear geführten Geschichten noch weiter entfernen wird, da es dem Spieler mehr Freiheiten gibt.

"I think open world can represent the future of, you know, gaming, and that’s where we’re investing huge portions of our resources--because we believe that that is what consumers want. They don’t want linear; they want open [world, but] there’s always going to be a place for linear experiences."

Somit ist wohl eindeutig geklärt, dass auch Far Cry 4 ein Open-World Spiel wird, das vielleicht sogar ein offenes Ende haben wird. Wobei nicht ganz klar ist, was Key mit "open end" meint. Also, ob das Spiel einfach irgendwann einen Schnitt macht und vorbei ist und das Ende der Geschichte dann im darauf folgendem Titel erzählt wird oder gänzlich ohne Schluss ist.

Letztlich gab Key sogar noch einen kleinen Hinweis bezüglich der Prince of Persia-Reihe.

"Prince of Persia, it’s got a really strong legacy with Ubisoft and it’s still there. We have nothing to announce, but, you know, we haven’t sold it off or given it away, so be patient. I know that’s hard!"

Eventuell beginnt die Planung ja nach der Veröffentlichung Far Cry 4?
